Vassiliki Danelli-Mylona Vassiliki Danelli-Mylona has studied Economics and has made a remarkable management career in the Telecom industry and the development of telematics services. She has been the President of BoD of the Hellenic Road Safety Institute (RSI) “Panos Mylonas” for the prevention of road traffic incidents, since its establishment in 2005. The Institute was created after the tragic unfair loss of her 22-year-old son Panos and since then she has committed herself to raise awareness among citizens and Organizations in order to strengthen the Traffic Safety Culture in Greece and the world. She has been honoured in Greece and Europe (Academy of Athens Award 2021, Award for Female Social Contribution by the League for Women’s Rights, 2011, “European Citizen’s Prize” from the European Parliament 2011, by the Swedish Government for her contribution to ISO 39001 and her commitment to act for road safety, 2007, and many other distinguished Organizations and Authorities). She represents RSI “Panos Mylonas” at the UN (ECOSOC), she is a member of the Advisory Board of the FIA High Level Panel on Road Safety, and works with an extended global network of road safety experts. |

Traffic Safety and Mobility Education: the initiatives of RSI “Panos Mylonas” Road Safety Institute (RSI) "Panos Mylonas" in the context of the Road Users’ Behavior strategic axis and the action pillar for the prevention of injuries and deaths on the road, developed and implements Traffic Safety and Mobility Educational Programs for all ages. In these programs are included: “In Traffic with Safety”, “Be a knight of road safety” and “Cycling in Safety” for primary schools, “Do it Right” for secondary schools, “AVENUE for Traffic Safety” a program for adults in the field of occupational health & safety and “Ermis” a program for young traffic offenders and their families. The main target of these programs is to promote Traffic Safety Culture by informing about safety risks, providing useful knowledge and skills and changing attitudes and behaviors. RSI has trained so far more than 300,000 students, 7,500 teachers, 19,672 employees, 30,050 scouts and 1.052 underage offenders of the Traffic Law and their families. |
