Prediction of Drivers Post-Training Unsafe Acts (EmpActs) Educational Measures in predicting unsafe acts on the road

Based on the MoU and the strategic partnership with the Emirates Center for Mobility Research for R&D, ED is conducting currently research to better understand the relationship between demographic characteristics of the 60 + Nationalities and driver performance during tests. This research will aid in addition to the other research related to the customer segmentation in tailoring training plans for drivers based on clear learning and behavioral patterns for ED’s stakeholders. Specifically, it involves evaluating the effectiveness of driver education by analyzing the types of errors made during road tests and their alignment with classroom instruction guidelines (training curriculum) and with the end results on AD roads. Driver training and behavior are critical components of safe road, mobility and transportation.

In contributing to the Abu Dhabi government's Vision Zero strategy to eliminate traffic fatalities, this research aims to investigate the link between demographics and driving errors in road tests and real-world scenarios. The study seeks to assess the risk levels associated with these mistakes, categorizing them as critical or non-critical based on driver demographics and aims to identify learning and behavioral patterns and recommend customized training programs to improve overall driver performance. Thus, enhancing driver awareness, promoting safe driving practices, and optimizing efficiency.
