04.05.2020. After close consultation CIECA and ANIECA have announced that the 2020 CIECA Congress, that was postponed some weeks ago until 21 – 24 October 2020, will be postponed to a later date: 26 – 29 May 2021. More specifically, the CIECA General Assembly and Members' Forum (only for CIECA Members) shall be held on 27 May 2021, and the CIECA Congress (open to all) entitled “Different drivers & vehicles. Safety for all” on 28 May 2021. The event will take place as planned in Porto (Portugal).
Due to the growing escalation of the Covid-19 outbreak around the world, holding an ambitious, inclusive CIECA Congress might not be possible this year. The health and safety of the CIECA community is of utmost importance to us. We trust that rescheduling the event will ensure we provide a safe event where CIECA Members and road safety stakeholders from around the world can come together and focus on the issues to be discussed.
We are thankful for your trust and support and look forward to meeting you again soon. In the meanwhile, we urge you to follow the public health advice provided in your countries to deal with the challenges posed by this unprecedented crisis.
Stay safe.
