18.03.2020. New dates have been announced for the 2020 CIECA Congress: 21 – 24 October 2020. More specifically, the CIECA General Assembly will take place on 22 October 2020, and the CIECA Congress, open to all public, on 23 October 2020. The 2020 CIECA Congress will take place in Porto, Portugal, as originally planned.
CIECA has taken this difficult and unprecedented decision after the evaluation of the situation with respect to Covid-19, and the risks associated with this annual event. In the past days, restrictions of movement due to the outbreak of the covid-19 have been implemented in many countries across the world, and several European countries have been placed in lock down to counter the further spread of the virus.
The health, comfort and safety of all CIECA members and road safety stakeholders is paramount to CIECA. We would like to take this opportunity to thank ANIECA for its incredible and on-going effort and commitment to ensure the complete success of the 2020 CIECA Congress. The new dates will allow to deliver the safe environment and first-class event that CIECA members and stakeholders deserve. We are sure that this Congress will be a great achievement.
The preparations for the Congress continue, and registrations to attend the event will be opened soon. In the meanwhile, we urge you to follow all public health advice provided in your country to deal with the challenges posed by this unprecedented crisis.
