The French Road Safety Directorate is proud to host CIECA’s first external event of 2008 on April 9-10 in Nîmes, the south of France, on the subject of rider training and testing.
This event has been developed in cooperation with ACEM (European motorcycle manufacturing industry), FIM (the international motorcycling federation) and FEMA (European Motorcyclists’ Association).
The aim of the workshop is three-fold:
- to present the context regarding powered two-wheelers with regard to market & user trends, and accidents
- to exchange experience on how the special manoeuvres component of the practical motorcycling test is being carried out in different countries (2nd Driving licence directive)
- to discuss the challenges of the 3rd Driving licence directive, especially with regard to the new progressive access rules and their implications for training and testing.
Interpretation will be provided in English and French. The event is free-of-charge but please note that there is a maximum capacity of 80 participants.
