On 17 and 18 June 1999, the Swedish National Road Administration and CIECA organised a workshop on IT-based Theory Testing. The aim of the event was to exchange experiences and information on different computerised testing systems used throughout CIECA member countries. The purpose of this workshop was not to reach an agreement on the best system, but to provide information on the pros and cons of computerised testing and of different system solutions.
Over the two day period many solutions were presented and discussed. Some of the test systems, already in use or in prototype form, were demonstrated.
