During the last CIECA Congress that took place in Vienna (May 2023), the project LET'S LEARN TO SURVIVE won the 1st ANNUAL CIECA AWARD FOR THE BEST ROAD SAFETY INITIATIVE IN 2022.
Let's learn to survive is the name of a project, with which we try to reduce the number and especially the consequences of motorcycle accidents. In cooperation with the Ministry of transport of the Czech Republic we aim to reduce the number and severity of motorcycle accidents and fatalities on the roads. We organize Post-Graduate safe driving courses for the public, for driving school teachers and inspectors. And also we are developing a hazard perception and prediction app to improve driving school education. We are convinced that the most effective way to do this, is to:
1. Improve driving school education using a hazard perception and prediction app - Within the Let's learn to survive project a new and unique app has been developed. The app allows to measure reaction time, mark hazards and also has an explanation mode.
2. Improve driving school teacher's abilities - We raise standards of education by introducing a new methodology and organize special courses for driving school teachers and examiners.
3. Train riders in an environment of safe motor racing circuits and polygons - We organize free of charge courses for more than 1 000 motorcyclists every year.
